Muzzle Loaders Association of Great Britain

The MLAGB was formed in 1952
and is the Governing Body for muzzle loading within the UK.
Its objectives are to encourage an interest in muzzle loading firearms;
to promote, regulate and safeguard their use;
and to preserve their freedom of collection.

Black Powder / Discussion Forum

Musket & Rifle Shooting
The Short Range Championships will be held at Wedgnock on 18/19 September. Musket and rifle shooting at 50m and 100m. And... as a closing competition for the season, support the OTF match at Wedgnock on 9/10 October. Again matches for musket and rifle, this time including black powder breech loaders.

Pistol Shooting
The National Pistol Championships will be held at Bisley on 4/5 September and the English Pistol Championships at Wedgnock on 18/19 September.

Scottish Pistol Championships
The 6th Annual Scottish Black Powder Pistol Championships will take place on Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th September 2010 at the National Sports Training Centre, Inverclyde , Largs. Entry form now available.

MLAGB Council of Management Meeting
The next Council of Management meeting will be at Bisley on Saturday 20 November 2010.

Many MLAGB members are collectors of antique arms and accessories and the Association is proud of the part it plays in encouraging the preservation, study and research of our colourful and historic past.

Muzzle loading today is an exciting sport, the variety of which is unmatched. From the casual target shooters through to the keenest marksman with international aspirations there is something to offer.

The MLAGB's own ranges near Warwick offer unrivalled facilities. The three separate ranges at 25m, 50m and 100m, each have covered firing points. They are sited in the heart of England with easy motorway access.

Visiting Bisley; then come and stay at the historic Exhibition Hut. Used throughout the year by many individuals and clubs, this facility is available to all. The club house is also available for meetings and exhibitions.
