The MLAGB was formed in 1952
and is the Governing Body for muzzle loading within the UK.
Its objectives are to encourage an interest in muzzle loading firearms;
to promote, regulate and safeguard their use;
and to preserve their freedom of collection.

300yd National Rifle Championships. This event was cancelled in April due to heavy snow fall. The event has now been re-scheduled for the afternoon of 30 August, following that morning's 900yd National Rifle Championship match.

New Entry forms are now available. The Pedersoli Challenge is an open competition and receives generous sponsorship from Davide Pedersoli and Viking Arms.

English Pistol and Short Range Rifle Championships
Due to circumstances beyond our control these Championships due to be held at Wedgnock on 20th and 21st of September will be moved back a week. The new dates will be 27th and 28th September. David Spittles and Allan Whiffin

Many MLAGB members are collectors of antique arms and accessories and the Association is proud of the part it plays in encouraging the preservation, study and research of our colourful and historic past. Muzzle loading today is an exciting sport, the variety of which is unmatched. From the casual target shooters through to the keenest marksman with international aspirations there is something to offer.
The MLAGB's own ranges near Warwick offer unrivalled facilities. The three separate ranges at 25m, 50m and 100m, each have covered firing points. They are sited in the heart of England with easy motorway access. Visiting Bisley; then come and stay at the historic Exhibition Hut. Used throughout the year by many individuals and clubs, this facility is available to all. The club house is also available for meetings and exhibitions.
