India Company Pattern 1819 Cavalry Pistol
9" barrel with London proofs, spring retained swivel rammer
and Bakers pattern lock with raised pan. Probably the best designed
flintlock military pistol. Barrel stamped with Indian export marks
from Andhra Pradesh in 1973. |

Percussion Shotgun
20 bore DB shotgun by Lefaure of Paris in the briefly fashionable
English style. Metalwork to brown patina and most of gold inlay
remains. Barrels with Birmingham proofs and good bores. New nipples.

Matchlock
Octagonal 32" smoothbore barrel of 0.5" calibre. No ornamentation
but most parts stamped with discreet Japanese characters and good
patination on the brass. Breech plug has been removed and refitted
with PTFE tape. |

Flintlock Shotgun
A fine 16 bore SB shotgun that's had a hard life. 35" octagonal
to round barrel of good quality with gold insert stamped HW Mortimer
& Co. Possibly back-converted from percussion. Good sparking
lock. |

Rigby .451 Rifle
Half stocked rifle with heavy 32" octagonal barrel. Number
10708, sold to S Maynard in 1855, and subsequently sleeved with
a Henry insert so not eligible for international competition. Single
set trigger, detented lock, patch box in butt, and with Holbrook
tang sight and early adjustable foresight. Excellent bore. |
