Message from the President
of
The Muzzle Loaders' Association of Great Britain
|
|

|
May I, on
behalf of the Muzzle Loaders' Association of Great Britain, welcome
you to our world famous ranges at Bisley, where we had the honour
of holding both the first and second Long Range Championships in
1999 and 2000. I had the good fortune to compete in these events
and so look forward with pleasurable anticipation to renewing some
old friendships and making some new ones; sadly, this time as a
spectator. For many amongst you this may be your first visit to
Bisley and although I can assure you that we will do our utmost
as hosts to ensure your every comfort I regret that we cannot control
either the wind or the rain, so all I can do is to wish you fair
weather, good shooting and -most of all- good companionship. And
keep your eye on those wind-flags!

Message from the Secretary-General
of
The Muzzle Loaders' Associations International Committee
|

I would like
to welcome all of you to the historic Bisley shooting ranges. True
long-range rifle shooters will, I am certain, welcome this opportunity
to shoot on the oldest and most famous long-range rifle facility
in the world. I consider the Bisley ranges the birthplace of our
long-range shooting sport; the sport we love today as much as did
those shooters so many years ago. The MLAGB has the most experienced
long-range staff I know of at the moment which assures us of the
best run long-range championship to date.
We will,
for the first time in the history of our MLAIC. Long-Range Championship
program, be awarding medals in both original and replica categories.
This will establish new records and set the stage for more intense
competition in the future.
As always,
all participants will renew old friendships and have a good time
while competing at this prestigious location. Iwish good shooting
to each of you!
Donald
W. Malson
